True Value Lawn Care works on residential and small commercial properties across the Las Vegas valley. How We Work
We Look Before We Quote
Almost nothing in this trade can be priced accurately over the phone. Square footage, slope, access, what is under the surface and what the irrigation is currently doing all change the number. We come and look. If a job turns out to be smaller than you feared we will say so, and if it is bigger we will explain why before starting rather than after.
One Crew, Not a Dispatch Board
The people who quote your job are the people who do it. That is the main reason we keep our service radius tight rather than claiming to cover the whole of southern Nevada.
We Say No to Work That Is Not Ours
Block walls, pavers, artificial turf and large crane removals are not what we do. Plenty of companies will take the job and subcontract it at a markup. We would rather point you at someone who does it properly.
What We Know About This Climate
Desert Planting Is a Skill, Not a Default
Switching to desert landscaping is not simply "less water". Plants still need establishing, drip still needs designing, and a yard planted with the wrong species in the wrong exposure will look worse in three years than the lawn it replaced. Knowing which plants tolerate west-facing afternoon sun here is most of the job.
Soil Here Does Not Behave
Caliche layers, alkaline soil and heavy mineral content all change what will grow and how it should be watered. We test where it matters rather than assuming, and the FAQ covers the questions we get asked most often about it.
Water Rules Are Part of the Job
Seasonal watering restrictions and the ongoing removal of non-functional grass are facts of landscaping in this valley. We build them into what we recommend instead of treating them as someone else's problem.
Straight Answers on Claims
We are not going to publish a years-in-business figure, a customer count or a star rating on this page. Those numbers are trivially easy to invent and most of the ones you will read on contractor websites are. Ask us directly and we will answer; look at the work itself and judge from that.
